he talked to me!
i’m a dropout.
i’m dropping out of the python training class which breaks my heart more than you will ever know. mostly i am dropping out because i have no idea what in the hell is going on. i talked to the instructor guy during a break in class and told him i was hopelessly lost and if maybe i might not be mentally retarded. he asked me a couple of questions that i couldn’t answer and he reassured me that no, i wasn’t retarded just that i had no programming experience whatsoever and that’s sorta prereq for his class.
i was a little worried about maybe being mentally retarded. because when he said stuff like:
“you can set sup dot stndout to something that is not a file at all” and “python takes that to be the documentation form for that module” and “you can optionally have an if and an elif without an else.”
it all sounded like:
“haimfyt mhw amoge noaxz hieoghtma mo r irgpta mip cjf lae moaign, wiapg aworm gwi s sloga quicne l amgisglahducta fo bmaoeld, abuowld x wotmad kol logukd mfiga.”
thankfully, it’s not me. it’s just that programmers or whatever you call them speak a totally different language than i do.

Why in god’s name were they asking you to take a Python class in the first place?

either that or the company hates me.
