isn’t it romantic?
recently, i answered the question about the most romantic thing ever or some such nonesense. my answer was lame. but thanks to the darling will bringing up jeanette winterson i remember one romantic thing that happened to me.
his name was john and he had long orangeybrown hair. we lay topless on my futon. my head on his chest, breasts pressing into his stomach. in his hands he held winterson’s “written on the body.” he read out loud for awhile, until neither of us could take it anymore. we then proceeded to make out for an hour. that’s all, just making out– smooching and rubbing and breathing heavy. i’m sure we’d have gone further, if either of us had been prepared to do so. but we weren’t so we just made out and then fell asleep all spoony and what not.
and that’s probably the most romantic thing that anyone has ever done for me, read to me. it was so nice.
also, my tummy hurts from too many nips at the big bowl of happiness.
