driving home from sister club, i was annoyed by the rain. it was the sorta misty semi-rain that leaves you guessing which windshield wiper speed to use. i couldn’t seem to determine which of my five wiper speeds to use. it drove me batty. eventually i just gave up and used the mist function.
really, i just wanted an excuse to look up the lyrics to eddie rabbitt’s “i love a rainy night” because it was my most favorite song in fourth grade. my second most favorite song was the j. geils band’s “angel in the centerfold.”
Slipped me notes under the desk while I was thinkin’ about her dress.
No truer lyrics were ever said, nor were they played any louder than through the speakers of my 79′ Datsun 210 station wagon.
That and “Hangin’ Tough” by New Kids on the Block.
