Memphis is bleak in the winter. It’s not bad, but it’s bleak. There are no leaves on trees, and everything’s grey. Have you been before? I don’t want to ruin your first Graceland experience for you if you’ve never been… but if you’re going to Memphis, you should go to Beale Street, and go visit the dancing couple in the hat store, buy yourself a bowler and get some soul food… and see the ducks at the Peabody.
