the more you know
say you went grocery shopping on sunday and say that, instead of putting your ice cream in the freezer you put it in the fridge. say didn’t notice this until like tuesday and promptly put it in the freezer. could someone who did that still eat that ice cream or is it a lost cause?

The ice cream is still good. Now, if you put it in the breadbox like I did once, it *is* a lost cause.

29 Oct 03 at 10:35 pm #utoh, the vote is split! whatever shall i do?
29 Oct 03 at 10:40 pm #Just take one bite after it hardens up some! (wow, that sounds dirty…) If the ice cream tastes ok to you, then it’s good! Otherwise bring out the violins and bury it.
Alternate ending. Forget the ice cream. Get some beer. Cheap domestic beer in cans. The kind that the Mats ruined their youth on.
29 Oct 03 at 11:16 pm #you take a bite of it! are you trying to kill me?
29 Oct 03 at 11:30 pm #As long as it was kept at the same temperature youkeep your milk it’s technically OK. Whether it tastes OK is a whole other matter, but it won’t kill ya.
29 Oct 03 at 11:35 pm #Sorry, lost track of what day it was and I thought you just put it in the fridge now! Not trying to kill you jodi! But killing myself with cheap beer is something I have attempted at least once…
29 Oct 03 at 11:43 pm #I’d say you’ve basically got yourself a frozen milkshake. If you like the taste, eat it. It’s not going to hurt you.
29 Oct 03 at 11:45 pm #Yeah, what UH said. It’s not spoiled, but the consistancy will never be the same. My brother-in-law tells me he used to like to drink cold glasses of melted ice-cream as a kid. I’ve never tried it.
30 Oct 03 at 6:38 am #Refreezing ice cream after it melts tends to crystallize it.
I would toss it and buy another.
