i walked into the bowling alley tonight because i had to pick up a CD from sister #4. my family misses me. i could tell by the way i was accosted the moment i took my shoes off.

“grodyjodigrodyjodi,” max shouted wheeling around the corner on a tricycle. “i had a program at school and i was a lamb.”
“aunt badlady,” jaycie shouted over him. “did you bring your camera? oh, hammie died.”
“where’d you get the sexxy coat,” sister #4 shouted from alley 6.

sheesh!

there was much ado about the sexxy coat.

“when did you get the coat,” sister #2 asked.
“a few weeks ago,” i said.
“where’d you get it,” sister #4 asked.
“online.”
“is it real leather,” sister #3 asked.
“yes.”
“nah, it’s vinyl,” the stink said.
“it’s real!”
“you look hot,” sister #4 said. “fancy coat, new hair. wow. you’re wasting it on us.”
“i know.”
“why didn’t you tell me you were getting your hair cut,” sister #2 asked.
“i didn’t find it necessary to issue a press release.”
“so back to this coat,” sister #4 said. “how much was it?”
“why didn’t you e-mail us,” sister #3 asked.
“got any new tattoos?” sister #4 asked.

somethings you just never live down.
