sexxy black

i got my sexxy black typewriter today. it’s just about the cutest thing i ever did see. when i get home tonight i will take pictures so you can see it. it’s so cute. so cute.

also, mcsweeney’s 12 and jesus’ son in the mail. i think if i could sit home for a month i could get through all the books i’ve gotten in the past month.

today, i am smiling and giddy and i’m not sure exactly why.

You know what I like the most about Juliana Hatfield's Book Notes essay? Not only does she list a Wilson Phillips song and talk of how much she and Evan Dando loved their album, but she disses their lyrical grammar. It's more awesomeness than the law should allow. I haven't read her memoir yet, but I so hope it has an extended chapter about her role as the angel on "My So-Called Life." [+]
