when you’re up at 4:30 and have four cups (well according to the coffee maker it was four cups, according to my full cups it was two) of coffee by 6:54, something happens. i’m not sure what that is, because i totally lost my train of thought here. so far, i’ve gotten two concepts done for the e-mails i’m supposed to be writing for work. eight more to go! at this rate i’ll probably have them done before anyone even gets to the office.
then, you know what happens? i run out of excuses for not working on my short story. with any luck, i’ll have it done before i head to book club tonight. yes! book club is tonight. we read Gunther Grass’ Crabwalk. i didn’t enjoy it so much, but i sure as hell learned a lot from it. how do i know? because i gave a short lecture to the artguy, the minion, and the freelancer yesterday. so if you want to know anything about the sinking of the Wilhelm Gustloff, i’m the one to contact. i can tell you all about how it was the biggest maritime disaster ever and how David Frankfurter who shot Wilhelm Gustloff (Who the boat was named after), a nazi leader of some sort, was a sickly jewish med student who chain smoked.
my ability to soak up trivia never ceases to amaze me.
