the 100-pound tongue

i feel like the left side of my face is trying to melt off my skull. that’s some wicked weird shit, that novocaine. also, my tongue feels like it weighs roughly 100 pounds, and it’s just sitting in my mouth being annoying. it doesn’t help that i’m freaking hungry as hell. dr. dentistlady told me not to eat anything hard or crunchy today, but tomorrow i could go back to normal. i think what she meant was to binge on ice cream and chewy chips ahoy until i eat myself into a sugar coma and by the time i awake from it, i should be good to go.

  1. Ice cream and cookies is exactly what they mean. They just can’t say it out loud. I think it’s an insurance issue, or a conflict of interest, or something like that.

I would have like to talk to you when you had your 100 pound tongue. I bet you used really, really, really big words.
