if you don’t live in minnesota, you might not know that the entire world was turned into a skating rink last night. every last inch of the outside is coated with a fine sheen of ice. it’s like the glazed donut fairy got confused and decided to glaze minnesota.
after spending a good 20 minutes trying to free ruby from her icy sarcophagus, i headed out to work. after it took me another 30 minutes to go six miles, slip sliding away the entire time. i decided it would be a good idea to just turn around and come back home.
so here i am, nice and toasty and realizing the ice sure is pretty from the confines of my warm abode.
Even my 4 mile commute was a pain today.
It is beautiful, tho. Even the trees have that white sheen to their branches.

I completely envisioned one of Cinderella’s fairy godmothers with a big ol’ tube of goo, spootin’ it all over the place. (Yes, I did just turn into a 12 year old boy. I don’t care. I haven’t giggled that hard in weeks!)
