Being a single guy, I used to have a hatred of cooking. However I found the more my hatred of being hungry grew, the less my hatred of cooking became. Yes, most of the time it's still a pain in the ass but I would rather take the pain then sacrifice my heart and health (or lack thereof) in a drive-thru line. When it all comes down to it, I think the effort one puts into whatever you cook, even if it's grilled cheese, makes it taste that much better.

I'll never be Wolfgang Puck, but I have learned to make some meals that surprised even me and hopefully someday Ms. Jackass.

I fully support the eating of leftovers as well.

Cheers,
JJ

I don't eat leftovers, either.

It is a weird combination of the "tupperware-throw-out-issue" and the "it-doesn't-taste-nearly-as-good-warmed-up again"

It isn't for lack of them growing up...we had leftovers often enough. I think one day a few years ago I just came to the conclusion that I should stop kidding myself, "Why take them home when they just sit in the fridge (or somewhere worse, at room temperature!) and spoil?" I'd unearth the spoiled leftovers months later, none-too-happy to throw them out...more often than not without even opening up the containers.
