roland has been released into the tender loving hands of DHL. if i had an iPod at the moment i would listen most unironically to the that cheezy sting song and perhaps shed a little tear and say a little prayer.

but i don’t have an iPod because i am an iPodless loser. yes, it is only in the abscence of the iPod that i realize how much i totally base my self-worth on my posession of this trendy gadget of the moment. and now, now i am nothing. i am less than nothing. i will probably cease to exist or something.

Call me old fashioned, but I felt the same way when the needle broke on my turntable.

yeah, that’s old fashioned. if my former writing teacher Sweet Rob, who proclaimed LPs rocked the casbah because “you know the shitty cover of ‘Tim?’ it looks even shitter when it’s all big!” can be converted to the wonder that is the iPod anyone can.

Maybe someday, but right now I’m still a dirt & wood kinda guy. ;)

  4. Yeah, once you go ipod you never go back. Think of it as getting in touch with your ancestors…and once Roland comes back he’ll be better for the experience.

Kinda makes you wish you had two of them, doesn’t it?
