can’t you see i’m bent all out of shape?

robin and i have decided that the ‘mats should have their one-night-only reunion concert at this year’s lollapalooza. think about what marketing genius it would be. . . first of all, they’re gonna have to do something to drum up interest in a pricey ‘mats boxset, right? i mean sure there are westernerds like me who will drop the ducets, but some others will need some convincing.

secondly, lollapalooza is at Grant Park in Chicago. The Replacements played their last concert at Grant Park in Chicago. it’s brilliant! utterly brilliant.

finally, i bought my tickets to lollapalooza (which the sister club instantly dubbed ‘kickin’ it with kanye’) last week. so, yeah i’ll be there already in another attempt to seduce Carl Newman and/or Mike Doughty (who is not on the list but who i think should play lollapalooza, or you know, come and hang out with me).
