jason lee has it too

Holtz is right. Jason Lee is a Scientologist. now that might explain why he named his son Pilot.

One of my absolute favorite forms of communication is the text message. Better than chat and e-mail, it’s the ultimate passive aggressive way to send information to people you know. They are easily ignored, fun to send and read, and a pleasure to decipher. I love them. The quickest way to my heart is to [...]

It’s usually not until the 8th frame that people start to notice. Six in a row is worth a free beer and happens often enough that nobody really says anything. Unless, of course, it’s their first free beer. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s their first or their 21st, I always smile really big [...]

breakthrough, perhaps

i think i might have a story idea. it involves a violinist and a gas station. of course i have decided to sleep on it, because i don’t want to rush into anything.

if i could figure out a way to peel off my own skin without it hurting, i probably would. my skin is annoying me. if i could poke my brain with a sharpened pencil and not worry about damaging the part that remembers the lyrics to every song i’ve ever heard, i would.
i got nothing.

running out

i have only two other things i can possibly do instead of writing my short story:
1. nap
2. alphabetize my underpants based on color

1. spend an hour illegally downloading Hall & Oates songs
2. decide that you simply cannot write until you have salad dressing in the house
3. fall asleep listening to car talk
4. babysit Jaycie and Max
. force kidlings into slave labor in a pathetic attempt to clean the house
6. feel guilty, give kids $2 for their [...]

friday shots

we just did shots of really gross nutty alcohol stuff that Seamus got on his flight from India to Amsterdam. i’ve decided to start a campaign where we do shots every friday at 3.

much like Mr. T, sometimes i pity the fools who only ‘know’ me through iwilldare.com. i have a million stories i would like to share, but they are not my stories to tell. they are stories that can only be conveyed with direct eye contact, body language, and bold proclamation of ‘don’t tell anybody.’
but [...]

so last weekend i was contacted by a journalist who is writing a story about superhero tattoos, specifically Superman tattoos. she had a bunch of questions asking me what it means to me, whether i was happy with it, why i choose it, and what kind of reaction/feedback i get about it.
i have absolutely [...]

i’m starting to panic just an eensy bit. i have a short story due for class on the 30th. i have made a vow to me ‘mates to submit a new short story, one that has not existed at all ever, until i made it up. that means no re-writing something old. if i break [...]

moratorium lifted

i have decided to start speaking again. in fact i just spent the last hour talking to Maria about marketing. yes, i talk marketing. i am a wonk, i guess. but in my defense i’m more of a brilliant idea person than an actual, this is how it’s gonna work person. which probably makes me [...]

mute

after tonight, i have a sneaking suspicion that my headphones will have actually fused to my ears. i’ve been wearing them since i got home. sometime between the time i left work and my arrival home, i decided that i was just not going to talk to anyone for the rest of the night. i [...]
