The words I thought I brought, I left behind

All Over But the Shouting

In the past four weeks or so I’ve seen Andrew Bird and Neko Case live for the first time ever. I saw Paul Westerberg sing and talk about his music.

However, nothing has filled my stomach with electricity or made my hands shake with excitement like the arrival of Jim Walsh’s All Over But the Shouting. I am goony-eyed and grinning over the arrival of a book. And this is not just any ordinary book. No. This book combines two of the things I love most in the world Paul Westerberg and Jim Walsh (fucking AMEN!).

But the thing that really pumps my nads about this book is, well, this:
The shouting has only begun

Fucking A people. Do you have any idea how glorious this is? Do you? Because I can’t even put into words what it means to me to be included in this book. The words I thought I brought I left behind, literally. I am here and I got nothing. I think the only thing that will replace this feeling is when my name is on the front of the book and not the pages inside.

That is so so so wonderful! And so apt that the first time you have a piece in print in a book, it is about the Replacements. May this be the first of many printed pages by Jodi Chromey.

Thank you. I am hoping I can stop running around shouting and calm down enough to read it.

Did you know about this or was it a total shock? And if you knew about this, you kept it a secret from us, your loyal readers? And if you didn’t know about it, how effing shocked were you!?! We need more details!!

Bravo bitch, bravo! Does this make you a published author? I totally think it does. And what a great gift idea for Hubbin. Congrats! You rock the cash bar.
