This is the third nomination and first win for Software Man. Here’s why:
“Hey are you gonna be here Thursday or Friday?” I asked.
“No I am going to someplace you have already forgotten the name of,” he said.
“Oh, we’re celebrating Al, the cutest girl on earth’s™, 30th birthday,” I said.
“I got her a card already, he said (incidentally Software Man is married to Al’s BFF).
“I didn’t get a card for my birthday.”
‘When you turn 30, I’ll get you one.”
“How old do you think I am?” I asked, giddy.
“You aren’t older then 30.”
“Are you being sarcastic?” I glared at him.
“How old are you?”
“I’m thirty-five!”
“You are not,” he said. “How old are you?”
“Oh my god you are my favorite person of the day.”
“How old are you?”
“Thirty-five,” I said. “You gonna card me?”
“I’m going to HR to find out.”

That’s funny and awesome.
You’re lucky you don’t have a beard. If I am clean-shaven, I am told I’m not near 40, but if I have a beard (which is turning mostly gray these days), I am told I look like Santa Claus’ younger brother. But not much younger.
