The song of the day on repeat here at Supergenius HQ has been Josh Ritter’s Empty Hearts. I can’t seem to get enough of it today on this last day of 2007.
Last year I rang in 2007 alone. It was a choice I made to forgo any partying or people or merriment. Not a good idea, I think. 2007 has not been kind to me and mine. It’s been a rough year full of strife, conflict, and job loss. Boo.
So this year, I will go play some Guitar Hero and make merry and try not to be sad that Sister #3 and her family won’t be there.
Tomorrow is a whole new year filled with potential. Maybe there will be reconciling in 2008? Or maybe I will let it go and let them fight their own battles.
I promise you that tonight I will not enter this year with an empty heart. It will be full of hope and all the regret of 2007 will be left right there with this utterly shitty year.
Happy New Year darling ones. Be safe and happy.
P.S. I am wearing red underwear, because allegedly it’s lucky. Woohoo!

Happy new year to you Jodi writer woman! A whole new START for 2008. Fear not, 2008 = 10 = YEAR 1. Good things await you. Hang ten on the cosmic wave! (And stop being sad for things over which you have absolutely no control.)
Happy New Year Jodi, may it be victoriously good for you
