An argument

I’ve discovered that if you don’t want chocolate milk accidentally spilled on your books, you should probably not leave them littered on every surface of your abode. So this afternoon in lieu of doing anything really productive, I sat and put my books away while Liam and Nolie watched Wow Wow Wubbzy!

Nolan quickly tired of the show and turned his attention to me. He flipped through the books on the floor in front of the case. He ran his finger over each title and after a lot of deliberation he plucked a paperback of Charles Bukowski’s Post Office from the stack.

“You can’t read Bukowski,” I said to him.
“But I love Bukayski,” he said.
“You don’t love Bukowski,” I said.
“Yes I do.” He crossed his arms in front of him, the book on his lap.
“Here.” I handed him the giant hardcover edition of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. “You can keep this book.”
He looked at the front and then flipped it over to the back. “No, I hate this book.”
“Me too.”
“I love Bacaseski.”
“He’s too grown up for you,” I said.
“NO HE’S NOT!”
“Fine read Bukowski, rot your brain, see if I care.”

i love the idea of bukowski added to elementary school curriculums and the fallout: third graders slamming cartons of 2 percent milk and staring glumly out the window.

I recommend Rescue Ferrets at Sea by Richard Bach for the little ‘uns. From the review: “Mostly [this book], this is a straight-ahead action fable about ferret heroism and self-rescue.”

P.S. Where’s the RSS?

look lady, as future leader of the free world i don’t need no stinking rss (or, evidently, good grammar).

and, if you’ll notice from your next post, god punished you for your snarkiness and made you fall on the ice after your class - god is obviously on my side which should seriously be taken into consideration for any future snarkiness you may wish to throw my way.
