Good thing I didn’t name the iPod Barry Jive and his Uptown Five

Last week I finally got my copy for Send Yourself Roses from the publisher. I was pretty stoked because now I could finally see for myself what page 237 really said.

I can’t tell you what pleases me most, that Ruby was called by name or that I’m considered a young woman. I keep asking all my friends at what age one gets to be just a plain ol’ woman. I would have thought at 35 I’d be qualified for woman without any sort of modifier. Apparently not.

The most fascinating bit about all this is that the footnote there credits City Pages, and not anything I actually wrote. I am not sure where the bold and fearless comes from, because City Pages only called me hilarious.

Don // Mar 25 08 at 6:30 pmYay, you got the book. Hope you like it as much as I did. Yeah, I saw that footnote too, but I’d guess she actually came here and read something bold and fearless.
caffiend // Mar 25 08 at 7:07 pmone who dares must be bold and fearless?
one who blogs must be young.
