I absolutely loved this book. I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie. Even though I haven't seen the movie yet I was really disappointed that it didn't win the best animated oscar. Why do they give the documentary/foreign oscars to war/holocaust movies but the best animated movie must go to the best kids movie. (and I like Brad Bird)

I saw the movie (based on the first two books) and loved it - what an experience. Can't wait to read them, too.

Embroideries is the slim third volume in the series.

I found X Saves the World pretty entertaining, and it was a quick read. I'll send a copy your way (I rarely keep nonfiction around other than cookbooks and art volumes).

Me, too... did you read all three books in the series? Also, "Chicken and Plums" is worth reading.

By teh way, check out Jeff Gordinier's last music selection on his playlist today for "X Saves the World" at LHB.
