In MA, there’s a Governor Dummer Acadamy (named after the former Gov. Dummer.) There was this uproar not too long ago that “Dummer” ruined the students’ self-esteem and was poor branding for the school or some such nonsense… so they changed the name to Governor Academy.

I looked at the St. Catherine’s link and wondered how that could be offensive. At least that name change makes sense.
