Last week I finally got my copy for Send Yourself Roses from the publisher. I was pretty stoked because now I could finally see for myself what page 237 really said.

I can’t tell you what pleases me most, that Ruby was called by name or that I’m considered a young woman. I keep asking all [...]

So I got a mention in Kathleen Turner’s memoir Send Yourself Roses. It is by far the weirdest, most random thing to happen to me up to this point.
This morning I got a lovely e-mail from a gentleman named Don who said this:
I’m one of the early reviewers for Kathleen Turner’s new book, Send Yourself [...]

First of all, because Peter Cetera’s “Glory of Love” just came on Kathleen Turner Overdrive and I have nobody to emotively type the lyrics to, since Wolfdogg is not online. I am now accepting applications for back-up shitty song reader. E-mail your resume to jodi@iwilldare.com.
Second of all, I have hair that is all one color. [...]

Coming back to work has seriously bummed me out. I think this must be why Americans never take extended vacations. When you take vacations your immunity to the bullshit is decimated, and coming back to the gray walls is enough to make you feel suicidal.
Never before has being a housewife or vagabond looked so good. [...]

Superpowers Revisited

After much thought, I have decided that I am going to change the superpower I wish that I had. For a long time I wanted the ability to flick people really hard right in the ear for any offense I deemed worthy for a really hard flick. I would be able to do the flicking [...]

Nothing gives me joy on a Monday morning then declining every single meeting I’ve been invited to, especially when the number of declines is greater than the number of fingers on my right hand. (Incidentally, I also get a lot of joy from saying, “Yes, I did just talk about Peter Cetera masturbating.” But I [...]

Holy buckets, do I feel hungover today. I have no idea what my problem is because I didn’t even get drunk last night. Two Newcastles are hardly enough to get me drunk. But today my head is filled with sand and I can’t seem to focus on anything for more than 45 seconds. It might [...]

1. I feel as though Wonder Woman’s shapely thighs and ample bosom is mocking me. I flipped the calendar today and this month’s superhero art has this caption: “The Amazon Princess breaks up a terrorist junta in the opening scene from Wonder Woman: Spirit of Truth, a graphic album written by Paul Dini. Instead it [...]

Since I’m a big ol’ baby and I’m much too busy to run home to get Kathleen Turner Overdrive, the Wolfdoggy Dogg has let me listen to his MP3 stream through some sort of Willy-Wonkaesque magic I cannot even begin to understand.
I am a demanding listener (I’m a demanding lover, reader, and well person in [...]

I’m in a mood most foul today, this fine fine cloudy and cool Monday morning straight from the bowels of Satan.
Here’s the thing. First of all, I don’t like Interpol. All their songs are very samey sounding. This has just occurred to me because some lame Interpol song was on Kathleen Turner Overdrive.
But here’s [...]

i think i’ll be spending a goodly portion of this week stuck in 1994. i’m a little pissed that i left The Short Story that was So Shitty it Made the Baby Jesus Weep at home. because much like the 21-year-old i was in April of 1994, i don’t want to be doing any of [...]

so today i have to write the newsletter. i have to write the newsletter every month. it goes out to about eleventeen billion people and they love it. all of them. i know this, because i get to read all the fanmail the newsletter gets (which is one of my favorite parts of my job). [...]

since Supergenius Headquarters have been declared a pants-free zone for the past few days, it seems my ass has been liberated. in its absolute delight over being freed from the tyranny of the pants, it seems my ass has decided today is the day where it will not be able to sit still for a [...]
